The curriculum is designed to move beyond memorization, focusing instead on the underlying logic of the astrological system. Participants will learn to navigate a chart and identify meaningful patterns.

• Origins & Philosophy: Explore where astrology originated and the reasoning behind the attributes assigned to different elements.
• The Core Components: Examine the specific meanings and roles of the signs, houses, and planets.
• Synthesizing the Chart: Study the aspects between planets to understand how they interact and influence various arenas of life.
• Practical Application: By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify planets, signs, and houses to interpret a chart independently.

Meet Your Instructor: Mauretia Holloway

Mauretia Holloway views astrology as a practical tool for self-awareness rather than a belief system. Her approach is rooted in both deep tradition and technical precision.

Educational Philosophy: After teaching for several years, she now aims to share her wealth of knowledge while continuing to learn from the perspectives of her students.

Diverse Lineage: Mauretia began her lifelong study after a reading with Darby Costello. She went on to study with Cynthia Thorburn, Janet Herloff-Peterson at the Astrological Institute of Research and Studies, and Jeffrey Wolf-Green at the Evolutionary School of Astrology.

Technical Foundation: Her training included learning to calculate charts by hand using spherical trigonometry, providing a rigorous understanding of the mechanics behind the map.
